Been listening to your albums and going to gigs since I was a student in Dublin back in 1980. Loved the gig in the Acoustic Club in Killarney last week - magic! Could have listened forever.

Freddie's reply   Thanks indeed Mag.

Been looking out for 'Long Distance
Runner' on CD for at least two lifetimes. Those songs were a big part of my life for the longest time. Glad to find your Website. There are only a few true Irish greats IMHO. Yourself and Philip Lynott spring to mind. Thanks for the music! :)

Freddie's reply   It's a D25 - made in the USA circa 1970. I still have that Ibanez but it's rarely used these days. The Road single is out now.. the album is coming.

Hi freddy, I became a huge fan of your's through my father who used to watch you in the baggott inn in dublin every tuesday night back in the 70's 80's era. im a die hard fan and play alot of guitar myself but im having one major frustration!!! i can not find a tab for your version of walking stick anywhere.i know leon redbone has a version but yours is far superior and its probably one of my favourite songs ever and I am dying to learn to play it for my dad who is now very ill.I was wondering if there was anychance you could email me a tab with chord diagrams or even just a regular finger picking tab. Also i would love to know if you are coming back to dublin any time in the near future to play a gig? really really looking forward to your reply my friend and keep up the good work ;-)
9 June 2010 - Dublin Ireland

Freddie's reply   Thanks indeed Keith.. I'm afraid I'm no good at the tabs but I will put a chord chart together for you soon.
